R.AGE Experiment: Eugene – An Introduction

Age: 18
Occupation: Student

Why I Agreed to the Project: To educate both myself and fellow youths about HIV/AIDS. Being someone is sexually active, it has crossed my mind a couple of times but I never took it seriously.

Having now done proper research, I really think youths (including myself) need to be really aware about this and to take it very seriously. This is because it could potentially change our lives.

Why I Want to do the test: I am basically a bi-curious youth who has engaged in sex a couple of times. Always with protection of course but in certain instances protection would be odd (oral sex), hence it was not used.

However, this brings the concern about HIV/AIDS. Having heard about it from you, I thought why not? It is better to be prepared and to be ready for any instances. Thus I thought I should go ahead with the test. I am absolutely terrified of going through with it, but I know that I have to do it, for the sake of myself and my loved ones.

Besides the thought of helping fellow youths also strengthens my resolve to go through with it.
