Useless iPhone App #1

It’s so stupid, I feel like a dumb@$$ for thinking for a second that it’d work – the iPhone Mirror app.
The worst thing is, it’s not just ONE app, but a whole bunch of “mirror” apps that claim to turn your iPhone screen into a reflective surface.
Basically, all they do is make your whole screen go black or grey or some opaque colour (some have fancy frames around the sides of the screen), and apparently, that’d make it good enough for you to do your makeup or whatever.
If that really is good enough to pass off as a mirror, then I could just as easily get a mirror by pressing the screenlock button.
One of the most downloaded of these stupid apps is Mirror Mirror, where the description goes:
At last! A versatile and FREE mirror application.
Notice that it doesn’t say “At last! A mirror application that WORKS!” And honestly, I think the least they could do for coming up with such a worthless app is to not charge anyone for it.
It also says:
Unlike other apps this has no needless frames to reduce your viewing area.
I think when an app is so needless in the first place, you might as well add the frames to make it look cute. Especially since there’s technically no “viewing area” at all.
This app also claims to be able to function as a flashlight, presumably by reflecting light with its ultra-reflective surface. Maybe I should write in and tell them that if there was a light source to reflect, then I probably wouldn’t be needing a flashlight, right?
Another LOL mirror app would be the miserable MyMirror, where the description says:
Note: You will need to hold your device in a certain angle, with the right amount of light to experience the reflection. Please follow the instructions to experience a reflection like no other.
Reflection like no other? Aren’t all my reflections supposed to look the same? Hmmmm…..
But then again, you can’t blame me for actually believing that my screen would actually turn metallic silver and allow me to stare right at the man in the mirror *chamone!*.
After all, I scoffed at a friend who told me about the Blower – Real Air app. It really does blow. Check it out:

ROFL..

if any iphone user is concern abiut mirror, just turn back of iphone. The reflection is greater than the st@pid app itself

Mike: It is quite ingenious…
Danny: It emits a constant frequency on the speaker that produces a slight wind. Might not spoil the processor, but can’t guarantee it won’t bust the speaker. That’s why I’m not willing to buy it =P
Emerald: LOL! So true! Can’t believe Apple has approved so many of those mirror apps…

Don’t get me wrong, I love my iPhone, but really, some of the idiotic things people come up with for it makes me want to a) applaud them for their genius stupidity b) shove their phones down their throats.

James: I’d go with B, and then show them what having an iPhone in your throat looks like using MyMirror.
