2. I was once late for assembly & entered my school via the side entrance. When I was stopped by prefects, I looked puzzled. Somehow they automatically assumed I was in some other form, where the students were taking exams that week & not required to attend assembly. I got off scot-free!

It happened this way. My school was at Bukit Bintang Boys Primary School in PJ and I lived at section 19 (in PJ). The usual scenario was my brother and I will always be picked up by our bus driver at 1pm sharp for home. One fine day, we decided to tell the bus driver that our mum was coming to get us and told him that we will follow our mum. We decided to then do the extraordinary, we walked all the way home for fun! We wanted to see the world, our way! Guess what time we got home? 4pm! Well, as they say, the rest was history as we got the spanking of our lives!

It happened when I was in standard 1. We were having lunch together at canteen. Then, a friend of mine who was having nasi lemak asked me to share my egg because he already finished his. Mischievously I simply told him to eat his own “egg”. In that moment, my teacher coincidentally heard our conversation. It ended up by nagging from my mother because she shocked how come I could say like that when I was only 7 years old! >.<

2. Once because wanting to skip the assembly, arrived late and was spotted by the prefects. We asked them to walk first and then we turn and ran for our life and never look back

Finally skipping school. Not a good example to set from younger generations.

My friends and i used to play truant to watch a soccer match but unfortunately, we were caught by our headmaster and we received the belt and those were the days when we had so much fun even with the painful surprise that was in store for us.
